Bridgehampton Real Estate

Idyllic waterfront living along a scenic, pastoral landscape

Located 100 miles outside of New York City in the heart of the East End, Bridgehampton (named for “bridging” Southampton and East Hampton) features immaculate beaches and pastoral farmlands. With country views and simple luxuries, Bridgehampton offers the best of both worlds. Stroll tree-lined streets in charming downtown, and dine in one of many upscale restaurants, visit a local stable for horseback riding along the wooded trails in autumn, or enjoy an afternoon on the beach during the warmer months.

Bridgehampton is known worldwide as one of the top destinations for the Hampton Classic - one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the United States - and is home to the Atlantic Golf Club and Bridgehampton Golf Club. This unincorporated hamlet offers family-friendly events and festivals throughout the year but doesn’t see many tourists, making this village one of Long Island’s hidden gems. Residents appreciate the slower-paced lifestyle and understated elegance Bridgehampton has to offer.

What to Love

Local Lifestyle

Bridgehampton is a classic, East Coast neighborhood. Historic farmhouses line sprawling landscapes, and downtown is home to charming shops and “Mom-and-Pop” restaurants. Families, young professionals, and retirees stroll the tree-lined streets and wave to their neighbors, offering friendly smiles and providing a welcoming atmosphere. The people of this tiny community are passionate about their town and culture, and it’s a great place to live if you’re looking for shop owners who remember your name and waitresses who remember your order. There’s something for everyone to fall in love with in the village of Bridgehampton!

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

Known as the heartbeat of the Hamptons, Pierre’s offers chic, elegant dining in a casual atmosphere. As a fifth-generation baker, owner Pierre Weber aims to bring the luxuries of far-away countries to the Hamptons - and has been successful for decades. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Pierre’s offers exceptional meals with local ingredients. Their rotating, seasonal menu features classic French cuisine with a modern twist, and the locale also has a market offering smoothies, coffee, croissants, and homemade ice cream.

With a commitment to quality ingredients and exceptional customer service, Almond Restaurant has been the go-to spot for locals, tourists, and celebrities for the last ten years. Inspired by the bustling bistros of France, Almond’s menu is an artisanal mix of delicate French cuisine and regional street food. The staff at Almond’s are proud of their community partnerships, often highlighting local farmers and small businesses and raising funds for local charities and non-profit organizations. Menu items change with the seasons, and for those who can’t get enough, they offer a meal subscription service for guests in the Bridgehampton neighborhood. Also part of the Almond family, L&W Market offers coffee, tea, and pastries in addition to quick breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

The Bridgehampton Candy Kitchen has been a community landmark since 1925. Visit for the best breakfast in town, or stop by in the evening for a classic, homemade ice cream cone. Residents and tourists love this old-school, soda fountain restaurant, and with thousands of visitors each season, Candy Kitchen promises to be around for generations to come.

Things to Do

The Children’s Museum of the East End began with a conversation among seven mothers, all looking for a way to provide a fun, engaging, and educational experience to children in the Hamptons. With the mission of learning through play for children of all abilities, the Children’s Museum brings in over 75,000 visitors each year and has become one of the most visited museums on Long Island. The museum hosts unique events for kids, like Touch a Truck Day and fall festivals, and features a 9-hole golf exhibit to learn about physics, a farmstand and diner, and a seafaring ship to sail the seven seas.

One of the premier events of the summer, Dan’s Taste celebrates great food and great wine from hundreds of kitchens in the Hamptons, North Fork, and Manhattan. Bringing the finest chefs to Bridgehampton for culinary events, live music, workshops, and star-studded parties, Dan’s Taste is an unparalleled highlight of the summer.

The Hampton Classic Horse Show is one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the United States. For over forty years, the Hampton Classic has seen millions of spectators and top equestrians from around the world, offering competitions, shopping experiences, family-friendly activities, and animal adoption programs each year. It’s the second horse show ever to win the coveted status of “Heritage Competition” by the United States Equestrian Federation, a title that is given to competitions that provide for their communities and horse communities in an unprecedented way.
